Get in touch
Found a document that breaks a tool? Missing something you need every day? Tell us — small projects change fast when someone actually asks.
Send a message
Your documents are still never uploaded — that holds for every tool on this site. This form is the one thing that does leave your browser: the message you type here is sent through a form provider that forwards it to us, so please do not paste confidential file contents into it.
Pick the right topic
The topic you choose on the form decides where the message lands: general questions, bug reports and tool requests; privacy, security disclosure and data requests; or copyright, trademark and other legal notices.
For a bug, the tool name and what you expected to happen are usually enough for us to reproduce it.
Response times
This is a small project run by a small team, so replies usually take 2–4 working days. Security disclosures are prioritised and answered faster.
Before you write
These come up most often — you may find your answer here first.
A tool said my PDF is password protected
Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited until the password is removed. Open the file in your PDF reader, enter the password, then re-save or print it to a new PDF and run that copy through ZappoPDF instead.
PDF to Text gave me an empty file
That document has no text layer — it is an image of a page, typically from a scanner or a photo. Extracting words from it requires OCR, which ZappoPDF does not offer. Here is why.
Compress barely changed my file size
Files that are mostly text are already close to optimal, so Light mode has little to remove. Medium and Strong will shrink image-heavy and scanned documents dramatically, at the cost of turning text into pixels.
The page froze on a very large document
Processing happens on your device, so a 500-page render at 600 DPI is genuinely demanding. Try a lower resolution, split the document first, or close other heavy tabs. If it reproduces on a modest file, that is a bug and we want to hear about it.
Can I self-host or use this offline?
Yes. The whole site is static files. Serve the folder from any web server, or open it locally, and it works the same way. Get in touch if you want to run it inside a company network.
